Laboratory

FIRST YEAR DEPARTMENT

Laboratory

Physics lab

Physics Lab

Description:
physics laboratory is place where experiments of physics are
carried out. As we know physics is that branch of science
where experimentation is an integral part of the core subject.
Features:
Physics laboratory is a place where experiments of
physics are carried out.
Spectrometer
Laser
CRO
Utilization:
It gives students first-hand experience and better
opportunities for learning. A laboratory is not a contest
whose object is to get the “ right answer “,but the purpose is to learn how to gain knowledge ,how to observe and to learn the meaning of what happens.

Chemistry Lab

Chemistry Lab

Description:
Chemistry laboratory has all the necessary equipment for
preparation of samples and standards for various analyses of
liquid and solid samples.
Features:
Designing modern laboratory facilities involves careful
consideration of critical element such as temperature and humidity
control air pressurization sound and vibration control , ventilation
air quality worker safety and energy conservation .
Utilization:
It gives students first hand experience and offers better
opportunities for learning . Volumetric flasks are a kind of
glass ware that can hold a certain volume of liquid.

BEE Lab

BEE Lab

Description:

Features:

Utilization:

Systems in Mechanical Engineering Lab

SME Lab

Description:
To describe and compare the conversion of energy from renewable and non-renewable energy sources. Laws of thermodynamics, heat transfer. It also gives the knowledge about the type of road vehicles and their specifications, parts of transmission system of road vehicle. Discussion about various manufacturing processes and various mechanisms and its application. After this course the student get the basic knowledge of mechanical engineering.
Features:

Demonstrating Model:
Demonstrating model gives the basic idea about the working of various power plant, energy conversion devices, power transmitting devices, various mechanism to transmit the power from one element to another. it also gives the overall idea about the vehicle specifications.
Utilization:
Student is going through the various demonstrating model to understand the basics of mechanical engineering

PPS Lab

PPS Lab

Description:
To Understand the basic concept of C Programming, and its different modules that include conditional and looping expressions, Arrays, Strings, Functions, Pointers, and Structures.  Role of constants, variables, identifiers, operators, type conversion and other building blocks of C Language. Use of conditional expressions and looping statements to solve problems associated with conditions and repetitions.
Features:
Acquire knowledge about the basic concept of writing a program
Role of Functions involving the idea of modularity.
Software:
IDLE Python ,Windows10
Utilization:
Student can perform the experiments based on Practical which there should perform with computer.
Student can perform experiments based on IDLE Python software

Engineering Mechanics Lab

Engineering Mechanics Lab

Description:

This is our engineering mechanics Lab is used to develop experimental and computational knowledge. This is the lab where basic experiments like Law of Parallelogram, Reaction of Beam, Belt friction, Space frame, coefficient of restitution, etc. This lab is general enough to hold a number of experiments suitable for giving students enough exposure to enable them to easily adopt experiments in more advanced laboratories in the department. All instruments and their characteristics, applications can be studied. Using these instruments they understand actual implementation of theory.

In order to introduce the students with importance and application of theory concepts the lab is been designed with equipment.

List of Equipment

  1. Law of Polygon Apparatus
  2. Simply Supported Beam
  3. Belt Friction
  4. Space Frame
  5. Curvilinear Motion

Lab Area:– 66.00 Sq.m
